Avenrhi moves with the growing seasons, working to plant, prune, take in and preserve Nophica's bounty. She sometimes takes up light adventuring (see: Pest Control) in exchange for extra surplus to send home to the people who have sheltered her since she was abandoned as a young girl.She is grown now. The ways she has adapted and dedicated herself to surviving are more honest than they have been in her past. Each turn passes quicker than the last, and challenges her physical limits a little more.To see her at work in summer's zenith, you would never imagine the toll it takes on her. She flits like a charmed bon vivant of the early harvests, a lively and cheerful presence known to La Noscean farms, orchards and picking crews in Nophica's Wells, with a seemingly tireless work ethic and winsome nature.Yet her carefree zeal withers with the frost into fatigue and fret over scarcity, as she retreats to her underground haven from the cold. She overwinters with the Zanthella family, in a Gelmorran enclave near the ruins of Issom-Har, where they run a small grocery. Her unspoken debts to the family she serves run deep with unrequited love entangled with customs of Old Gelmorran fealty that's worn thin over time and a lack of reciprocal care.But a few of the neighboring households hold a warm regard for Avenrhi, for the way she's humbly fed their children through the struggles of the Calamity, supporting a dwindling subterranian community with limited access to surface commodities.She remembers fading horrors of the times before, of conflict in the mountains, birdmen descending in balloons to raid caches and drive her people hungry out of the highlands. She remembers the Mad King of Ala Mhigo and the ones he sent out, also, to slaughter them in their sleep.The peace beneath the deep roots holds her safely now.It is a home worth keeping on with...... though her heart has begun to yearn for her own little piece of plenty.

Avenrhi is known to many growers in La Noscea, Nophica's Wells in Thanalan, and some agricultural settlements in The Black Shroud.She has a sturdy reputation for being a strong-backed worker with a pleasant disposition, and is often looking for temporary opportunities to do day labor in exchange for a share of the harvest.While she is not a member of the Botanist's Guild, and therefore not subject to guild rates & conditions, she is handily skilled compared to many fresher faces to farm work, would sooner take her day's wages in produce rather than gil, and returns in fairly reliable cycles if folk treat her well.She is known to be especially resourceful with canning and preservation, and knows her way around the in & outs of storing foodstuffs.Gridanians
There was a family of Duskwights known as the Lazarets, who kept a small settlement close to the surface up near Peacegarden. Over 20 years ago, they gained notoriety for thieving from the Twelveswood's storehouses. They had an insider accomplice.A refugee girl, sheltered underground during the winter moons, and in the growing seasons sent topside to find a resourced household that would take her in. In a cuckoo scheme to siphon supplies from the surface-dwelling Gridanians, she would assist in sneaking goods to drop points, and when her benefactors grew suspicious, she would find another unsuspecting foster family in the following turn to steal from.This persisted for several years until the Lazarets were caught and tried for banditry, sentanced to suffering the Wood's fury. The girl, somehow, was spared the Greenwrath and disappeared into the Southern Shroud.Gelmorrans ( Gévaudan)
Avenrhi currently overwinters with the Zanthella household of Gévaudan, a small Duskwight settlement nearby the ruins of Issom-Har. Although she is Hyur, in minority underroot, she has generally been accepted by the neighborhood as one of their own who has greater access to the outer world, and has lived with the community for about twenty years now, playing a key role in its aboveground supply chain.Although she usually spends a majority of the darker moons at home in a restorative slump after toilsome seasons of productivity, the Zanthellas and their three children treat her as a subserviant tertiary adult of the household.The Zanthellas are one of the more comfortably couched households in town, running a store for dry goods and other shelf-stable foodstuffs. Although their sideboard is often the envy of their neighbors, with their own surface-side forager keeping the larders stocked, they are no strangers to store rationing policy and credit, which has allowed Gévaudan to endure in the wake of the 6th Umbral Calamity.Gyr Abanians
Avenrhi was born to a Highlander clan that hailed from the mountainous Abalathia's Spine region bordering Coerthas, Ixal Territory and what was then Ala Mhigo. Some 27 years ago, a family scattered by hardship was pushed down into the Northeastern reaches of the Black Shroud. While she's not particularly looking to reconnect with the remnant of her people, perhaps someone remembers a lost sister, a child left behind in the snows.Seasonal RomanticsAvenrhi has a scattered history of spring fever and summer flings- passionate love affairs that have been doomed to end before first frost.Though she tends to gravitate to less experienced women of strong-will and sensual curiousity, she's also has a bit of an easy-spirited 'good time girl' reputation among her working circles, and is unopposed to a one-off roll in the hay to improve field morale or gain permission from an employer to glean a little extra on the side.While she willingly uses her sex drive to her advantage, she struggles with committing to love in all seasons, and accepting it unconditionally.

Gévaudan is a co-created Gelmorran RP community with shared history alongside several friends with Duskwight alts. Their story is meant to be interwoven with Avenrhi's. While their story engages with the Shroud setting's in-world racism and systemic challenged access to resources, we're hopefully handling this in a sensitive, mature way. While I'm okay with writing longer prose scenes on discord, I prefer to RP in real time and in a group setting than privately unless we have already established character and OOC contact. Stories may involve some action or violence along the way, and that's okay! Avenrhi is a hardy-built working lass in the humblest of ARR gathering gear, can probably hold her own with basic self defense, and in an improvised weapon pinch, would probably fight like a Marauder using Botanist's Auto-Attack, or a level 15 Rogue with a serrated weeding knife, to give you some notion of her power capacity.She might even have reason to join a small party of adventurers to clear out a threat to her crops or her people. This however is generally not the style of RP I usually engage with, so please bear with me! I prefer to keep rules/mechanical systems really really simplistic and narrative-focused, if you have a scenario with some fighting involved.- vanilla
I play FFXIV on console and do not have access to 3rd party tools, so please be mindful when sending longer links with randomized characters strings that it will take me a minute to manually type that into a browser. Please do not ask me to swap information for use with mods. Avenrhi is Bisexual & non-monogamous, leaning Sapphic in her romantic relationships. Although it's not my primary focus as an RPer, Avenrhi is a character that has a fairly busy sexual history that informs a lot of her self-understanding. I am down for exploring that!In most cases I'm totally fine with fading to black, or establishing previous casual contact offscreen. If you wanna write a full ERP scene and we've established some rp rapport, most of the time I am game, but please be considerate that I may not always have dedicated time for it, and that I do have a preference for writing outside of game.I am not interested in finding IRL romantic relationships via roleplaying characters.
